After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Vista PEAK Prep, George Washington was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Kennedy Commanders with a sharp 54-31 victory. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 21 points or more this season.

Brittany Booker was a one-woman wrecking crew for George Washington as she went 7-for-15 en route to 19 points in addition to five assists and five steals. Booker is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Abryanna Alejo Grajeda, who posted 11 points.

Mercedes Gerry and Morgan Williams certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Gerry had four points and seven rebounds, while Williams went 7-for-15 on her way to 16 points and eight boards.

George Washington has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.9 points over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Kennedy and nudges their season record down to 15-7.

George Washington has already played their next game, a 60-58 defeat against Denver South on the 21st. As for Kennedy, they are taking a road trip to take on Manual at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
