Basketball Recap: Kelly Takes a Loss

Kelly lost to Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park back in November of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Trojans took a blow against the Hawks, falling 59-24. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park found their leader in sophomore Derrion Williams, who posted 24 points. The contest was Williams' third in a row with at least 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tommie Meyers, who put up 11 points and three steals.

Kelly's loss dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.

Kelly wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 60-51 defeat against Noble Street College Prep on the 19th. Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
