Basketball Game Preview: China Spring Cougars vs. Slidell Greyhounds

The China Spring Cougars and the Slidell Greyhounds will face off at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Slidell is hoping to do what Anderson-Shiro couldn't on Friday: put an end to China Spring's winning streak, which now stands at three games. China Spring simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Anderson-Shiro 51-24. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 427th, while the Fighting Owls are ranked 982nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Slidell took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 39-12 victory over Chilton. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Greyhounds.

Slidell has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for China Spring, their win bumped their record up to 11-9.
