Indianola entered their match against Waukee last Friday without any home losses -- but there's a first time for everything. Indianola ended up on the wrong side of a painful 14-42 walloping at Waukee's hands. This makes it the second loss in a row for Indianola.
Meanwhile, Des Moines East put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season. Everything went their way against Ottumwa as they made off with a 40-18 victory. The success made it back-to-back wins for Des Moines East.
Des Moines East's win lifted them to 4-4 while Indianola's defeat dropped them down to 6-2. We'll see if Des Moines East's success rolls on or if Indianola are able to steal their positive momentum.
