Basketball Recap: Downsville Snaps 18-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Downsville brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. They enjoyed a cozy 64-50 victory over the Dodson Panthers on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Demons as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Downsville's victory ended an 18-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-15. As for Dodson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

Downsville will be home for the holidays to greet West Ouachita at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in West Ouachita's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games. As for Dodson, they will head out on the road to square off against Claiborne Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
