Sperry extended their winning streak to four on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 11-12 in the process. They put the hurt on the Kiefer Trojans with a sharp 11-3 win. Considering the Pirates have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Kiefer, their loss dropped their record down to 15-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered since March 20th.

For Kiefer's part, Landon Ruggieri was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Landon Easton, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Sperry and Kiefer should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings. The Pirates will square off against Morris at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (160 vs. 331). Meanwhile, Kiefer (ranked 93rd) will meet Keys (ranked 366th) at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
