Prattville Christian Academy put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Corner Yellow Jackets, sneaking past 3-1. The three-run effort marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Alivia Messick tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Prattville Christian Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sara Payton Schmidt, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI Schmidt has posted since back in April of 2024. Addison Byrd also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Prattville Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Corner, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coincidentally, Prattville Christian Academy and Corner will both be playing Prattville the next time they take the field. Prattville Christian Academy will head out to face Prattville at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, while Corner will play them later in the day, at 9:45 a.m.
