Baseball Recap: Oak Grove Takes a Loss

The Oak Grove Grizzlies came up short against the Northwest Guilford Vikings on Saturday, falling 17-10. The Grizzlies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Addison Terry put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Terry was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Kaden Hart stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Cam Sharpe also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.

Oak Grove's record is now 8-8. As for Northwest Guilford, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oak Grove will take on Montgomery Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Grizzlies are facing the Timberwolves at the right time seeing as the Timberwolves are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Northwest Guilford, they will venture away from home to challenge Southeast Guilford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
