Baseball Recap: Texas Wind Wins Going Away Against Stephenville FAITH

Texas Wind made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Stephenville FAITH, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Texas Wind was the clear victor by an 18-9 margin over Stephenville FAITH on Tuesday. Texas Wind not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 4th.

Texas Wind let Daniel Montgomery and Jon Alexander run wild. Montgomery got on base in four of his six plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs, while Alexander went 4-for-5 with three runs, three doubles, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave Alexander a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Simon Jarrett, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Texas Wind always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .630. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Texas Wind's win bumped their record up to 6-14-1. As for Stephenville FAITH, they dropped their record down to 4-7 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Texas Wind will be playing at home against BVCHEA HomeSchool on Thursday. The Mustangs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12 runs per game on average), something Texas Wind will no doubt try to take advantage of.
