Softball Recap: Dixie County Comes Up Short

Dixie County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 16-0 to the Bronson Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-0 back in March.

Dixie County's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Bronson, the win got them back to even at 11-11.

Dixie County will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Cedar Key at 7:00 p.m. on the 21st. As for Bronson, they will face off against Bell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
