            The Villa Grove Blue Devils will head out to  challenge the Fisher Bunnies  at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. Villa Grove is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8  runs per game  this season.
On Thursday, Villa Grove came up short against Rantoul  and fell  7-2.

  Piper Kiser put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  struck out eight batters over  seven innings while giving up  four earned  (and three unearned) runs off   five  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run, two  runs,  and one  double.
 Meanwhile, Fisher won against Blue Ridge  on Monday with eight  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Wednesday. The Bunnies walked away with  an   8-3  win over Georgetown-Ridge Farm. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Bunnies.
 Fisher's victory bumped their record up to 13-11-1. As for Villa Grove, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record  this season.
 Everything went Villa Grove's way against Fisher in their previous meeting  back in April of 2024, as Villa Grove made off with  a  19-4 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
