Recap: Oak Hills Highlanders vs. Hamilton Big Blue

After a string of three wins, the Oak Hills Highlanders's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Hamilton by a score of 48-46. The matchup was a 19-19 toss-up at halftime, but Oak Hills was outscored by Hamilton in the second.

Oak Hills lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Henry Maginn, who scored 14 points. Maginn continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brycen Kessler, who scored 11 points.

Oak Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Hamilton, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.

Oak Hills' road trip will continue as they head out to face Princeton at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th. As for Hamilton, they will be playing at home against Lakota East at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakota East presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hamilton in Ohio (Lakota East is ranked 46th, while Hamilton is ranked 135th).
