Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Newton South). They put the hurt on Boston International with a sharp 12-4 victory on Monday. That's two games straight that the Lions have won by exactly eight runs.

Newton South pushed their record up to 9-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Boston International, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-3.
