Baseball Recap: Pine Bluff Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Watson Chapel, Pine Bluff was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Fordyce Redbugs 13-12. The Zebras have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Redbugs, too.

Kylin Sims was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Sedrick Pridgeon Jr. also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Pine Bluff's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Fordyce, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-4.

Pine Bluff will have a chance to go back-to-back against Fordyce: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
