Recap: Ozanam vs. Midland Adventist Academy Mustangs
Ozanam's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell 44-34 to Midland Adventist Academy. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Ozanam of the 78-72 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
Ozanam's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zaireion Nicholson, who scored five points along with 12 rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Skylar Horn, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Ozanam's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Midland Adventist Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ozanam will take on the Aztecs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Guadalupe Centers is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Midland Adventist Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.
