Homestead waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with 14 straight wins... but they left with 15. They put the hurt on the Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran Cadets with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Spartans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Homestead won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-20, 27-25.

Brady Henline paced Homestead's offense, picking up 13 kills. Henline got some help from Jesse Biedenbach and his 33 assists. Henline was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Homestead pushed their record up to 20-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Homestead will face off against rival Columbia City at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran is set to challenge their familiar foe Northridge at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
