Rockvale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell just short of the Blackman Blaze by a score of 3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Rockvale of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.
In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Rockvale sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-19, 21-25, 25-14, 24-26, 18-16.
Rockvale lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Erin Evans, who had 17 digs and two aces. What's more, Evans also racked up no blocks, the mostshe's had in her last three games.
Among those leading the charge was Annabelle Grissom, who had 18 digs. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in the last four games she's played dating back to last season.
Rockvale's defeat dropped their record down to 13-18. As for Blackman, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-12 record this season.
