Basketball Recap: St. Croix Central Comes Up Short

St. Croix Central fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Prescott on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 54-47 to the Prescott Cardinals. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Prescott can attribute much of their success to Teddy Bernick, who posted 17 points. Emmett Otto was another key player, putting up ten points and five rebounds.

St. Croix Central's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Prescott, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

St. Croix Central will square off against Somerset at 7:00 p.m. on February 11th. As for Prescott, they will venture away from home to challenge Cameron at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Cameron's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.
