Football Game Preview: Grosse Ile Red Devils vs. Jefferson Bears + Official Tickets

The Grosse Ile Red Devils will challenge the Jefferson Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Grosse Ile hadn't beaten Airport on the road since October 9, 2015 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Red Devils secured a 14-10 W over the Jets. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Devils.

Grosse Ile didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Dominic Cucinella and Rocco Cappelino. Grosse Ile received some extra help from Cucinella, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Meanwhile, Jefferson hadn't done well against Huron recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Bears breezed past the Chiefs to the tune of 43-7. Considering the Bears have won five contests by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Grosse Ile's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Jefferson, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.
