Basketball Game Preview: North Haven Nighthawks vs. Sacred Heart Academy

North Haven and Sacred Heart Academy are an even 3-3 against one another since December of 2015, but not for long. The North Haven Nighthawks will take on Sacred Heart Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

North Haven is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took down West Haven 66-49 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Nighthawks.

Meanwhile, Sacred Heart Academy put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Sheehan 48-45. The 48-point effort marked Sacred Heart Academy's lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Sacred Heart Academy pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for North Haven, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

North Haven suffered a grim 73-49 defeat to Sacred Heart Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can North Haven avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
