Football Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Galena Park + How To Watch

Galena Park won the last time they faced Spring Woods and Cary Clay did his part to make sure it happened again. The Yellowjackets were the clear victors by a 34-14 margin over the Tigers on Thursday with plenty of help from Clay, who rushed for 229 yards and two scores while picking up 14.3 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 94-yard run.

The win made it two in a row for Galena Park and bumps their season record up to 2-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.0 points over those games. As for Spring Woods, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Galena Park will square off against rival Waltrip at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. Meanwhile, Spring Woods is set to take on their familiar foe Westbury at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
