Baseball Recap: Archie's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

After flying high against Weaubleau last Friday, Archie came back down to earth. The Whirlwinds fell 7-4 to the Lakeland Vikings on Tuesday. The matchup marked the Whirlwinds' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Archie saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Kash, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one double. Carson Houchen also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Archie fell to 4-1. As for Lakeland, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-3.

Archie wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 21-0 loss against Midway on the 3rd. As for Lakeland, they will square off against Adrian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
