Baseball Recap: Tidewater Academy Comes Up Short

Tidewater Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They fell 9-6 to the Fuqua Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-10 back in March.

Tidewater Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aydan Phillips, who went 2-for-3 with one run. Buddy Allin also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Tidewater Academy's record is now 0-11. As for Fuqua, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-7.

Coming up, Tidewater Academy will square off against Southampton Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last four games the Raiders have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Fuqua, they will head out to square off against Amelia Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
