Volleyball Recap: Piedmont Academy Takes a Loss

Piedmont Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Union Grove Wolverines. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Wolverines when the teams met back in September of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-15.

Piedmont Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Union Grove, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0-1.

Piedmont Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Jasper County on the 11th. As for Union Grove, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Fayette County on the 9th.
