Basketball Game Preview: Irvington Vikings vs. Silver Creek Raiders

The Irvington Vikings will take on the Silver Creek Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Irvington barely beat Wilcox the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Vikings blew past the Chargers 79-48 on Monday. The Vikings not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since December 23, 2024 (when they won 87-51).

Meanwhile, Silver Creek had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. The contest between the Raiders and Branham didn't end well, with the Raiders falling 80-64. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Irvington's victory ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1. As for Silver Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Irvington beat Silver Creek 47-36 when the teams last played back in December of 2018. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
