Volleyball Recap: Watsonville Comes Up Short

Watsonville suffered their biggest loss since March 11th on Thursday. They came up short against the Salinas Cowboys, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcatz in their meetings with the Cowboys: they've now lost four in a row.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Salinas scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-18, 25-21.

Watsonville's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Salinas, they moved to 7-9 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Watsonville will square off against Aptos at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Salinas, they will challenge Hollister at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
