Basketball Recap: Westmont Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Westmont can now relate to. They were dealt a 75-39 defeat at the hands of the Joliet Catholic Hilltoppers on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Sentinels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 536th in Illinois, while the Hilltoppers are ranked 236th in Illinois).

Westmont's loss dropped their record down to 14-18. As for Joliet Catholic, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-14.

As of now, neither Westmont nor Joliet Catholic have any future games scheduled.
