Baseball Recap: Aledo Extends Road Winning Streak to Five

Aledo entered their tilt with Azle on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Hornets by a score of 5-2. That's more bragging rights for the Bearcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Luke Sandefur looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Lucas Nawrocki, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Dylan Duran, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Aledo pushed their record up to 20-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Azle, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-13 record this season.

Aledo will have a chance to go back-to-back against Azle: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
