Baseball Recap: Alden Gets the Win

After losing to Eden the last time they met, Alden decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 7-2 on Thursday.

Brody Peresan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, Jack Doster was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Ryan Kurek was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Alden now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Eden, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Alden wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 1-1 tie against West Seneca East on the 12th. As for Eden, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-3 win against East Aurora on the 12th.
