Basketball Game Preview: Westminster Lions vs. Garden Grove Argonauts

Westminster and Garden Grove are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Westminster Lions will be taking part in a tournament against the Garden Grove Argonauts at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Westminster will be strutting in after a win while Garden Grove will be coming in after a loss.

It was a proper cat-fight when Westminster took on Orange on Saturday. Westminster walked away with a 52-45 victory over Orange.

Meanwhile, Garden Grove took a blow against Workman on Monday, falling 83-40. While losing is never fun, the Argonauts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 796th, while the Lobos are ranked 330th).

Garden Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Westminster, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.

Westminster took their victory against Garden Grove when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 68-47. Does Westminster have another victory up their sleeve, or will Garden Grove turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
