Basketball Recap: Walnut Springs Has No Trouble Against Bluff Dale

On TuesdayBluff Dale kept up with Walnut Springs until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. The Walnut Springs Hornets blew past the Bluff Dale Bobcats 57-37. The Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 20 points or more this season.

Despite the defeat, Bluff Dale saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Alex Saucedo went 8 for 16 on his way to 19 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Saucedo is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Keigen Halford, who posted two points and seven boards.

Walnut Springs' win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Bluff Dale, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6.

Walnut Springs didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-39 loss against Huckabay on the 20th. As for Bluff Dale, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 57-47 victory against Iredell on the 20th.
