Softball Game Preview: Wethersfield Eagles vs. Windsor Warriors

Wethersfield hasn't had much luck against Windsor recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Eagles will head out to challenge the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Wethersfield is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 17 runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Edwin O. Smith on Wednesday. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 15-1.

Meanwhile, Windsor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 16-4 to Berlin.

Hannah O was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season.

Wethersfield's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Windsor, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Wethersfield was able to grind out a solid win over Windsor in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 4-0. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
