Basketball Recap: Father Ryan Continues Home Dominance on Friday

After losing to Green Hill the last time they met, Father Ryan decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Father Ryan Irish enjoyed a cozy 47-33 win over the Green Hill Hawks on Friday. The 47-point effort marked the Irish's lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Father Ryan's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.2 points per game. As for Green Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Father Ryan will venture away from home to challenge Montgomery Bell Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Montgomery Bell Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Father Ryan likes a good challenge. As for Green Hill, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hendersonville at 7:30 p.m. on January 14, 2025.
