Basketball Recap: Towson Finds Home Court Redemption Against Woodlawn

There's no place like home for Towson, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They came out on top against the Woodlawn Warriors by a score of 67-54 on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Generals as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Towson had a senior duo take command as Seven Wheeler went 9 of 18 en route to 19 points along with six boards and five assists and Jeremiah Harris went 7 of 12 on his way to 17 points and six assists. Wheeler is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Mason Westfall was another key player, putting up six points and four blocks.

Towson was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Towson's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Woodlawn, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-7.

Towson will venture away from home to face off against Eastern Tech at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Towson is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.3 points per game this season. As for Woodlawn, they will square off against Lansdowne on Wednesday. Lansdowne knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Woodlawn likes a good challenge.
