Volleyball Recap: Lockhart Takes a Loss

Lockhart was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against Leander, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Lockhart of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-10, 25-16.

Sierra Lumbreras went supernova For Leander., getting 17 digs and two aces. Those 17 digs gave Lumbreras a new career-high. Araceli Hernandez was another key player, getting seven digs and two aces.

Lockhart's loss dropped their record down to 5-27. As for Leander, the win got them back to even at 18-18.

Lockhart wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Liberty Hill on the 30th. As for Leander, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Lehman on the 30th.
