Baseball Recap: Caiden Kennedy's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Polytechnic over Temple City

Polytechnic lost against Temple City back in March of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Polytechnic Panthers might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 7-3 to the Temple City Rams, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Panthers' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Polytechnic saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caiden Kennedy, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave Kennedy a new career-high in hits. Will Oreck also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Polytechnic's record now sits at 1-4. As for Temple City, their win bumped their record up to 2-4-1.

Looking ahead, Polytechnic will take on Arroyo Valley in a tournament on Saturday. As for Temple City, they will head out to challenge South El Monte at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. South El Monte's pitching crew has only allowed one run per game this season, so Temple City's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
