Basketball Recap: Allegany-Limestone Extends Winning Streak to Five

With a playoff win on the line, Allegany-Limestone rose to the challenge on Thursday. They came out on top against the Eden Raiders by a score of 70-63. For the Gators, this counts as revenge for the 85-80 victory the Raiders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Eden's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kobe Genco, who went 8-for-14 on his way to 22 points and five boards, and Tyler Wakelam, who shot 67% from the field en route to 19 points. Another player making a difference was Chris Krencik, who posted eight points.

The win was the fifth in a row for Allegany-Limestone, bringing their record for this year to 15-8. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.4 points over those games. As for Eden, with the defeat, they broke their eight-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-4.

As of now, neither Allegany-Limestone nor Eden have any future games scheduled.
