Volleyball Recap: Lake Wales Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against George Jenkins, Lake Wales was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Roosevelt Academy Eagles. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Highlanders as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Lake Wales was: they took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-14, 25-9.

Lake Wales' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Roosevelt Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Wales will venture away from home to take on Davenport at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Roosevelt Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Frostproof at 6:00 p.m. on March 25th.
