Basketball Game Preview: Williston Red Devils vs. Trenton Tigers

The Williston Red Devils will challenge the Trenton Tigers on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Williston sitting on five straight wins and Trenton on 14.

Williston is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They snuck past Wildwood with a 56-52 victory.

Meanwhile, Trenton didn't have too much trouble with Hilliard on Saturday as they won 67-51.

Trenton's win came from a few key players that Williston will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Mason VunCannon, who went 9-for-17 to rack up 19 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Marc Micale, who shot 57% from the field en route to 17 points along with eight boards and three steals.

Trenton's win bumped their record up to 25-4. As for Williston, their victory bumped their record up to 20-7.

Everything came up roses for Williston against Trenton when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 95-37 win. Will the Red Devils repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
