Football Recap: Ledford Comes Up Short at Home Against Oak Grove + How To Watch

Ledford unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were outmatched by the Oak Grove Grizzlies and fell 49-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Grizzlies: they've now lost seven in a row.

Eli Jordan threw for 63 yards while completing 81.8% of his passes. On the ground, Dominique Arthur rushed for 93 yards.

Oak Grove was led to victory by Grayson Treadway and Jyden Barnes. Treadway threw for 190 yards and three TDs on only 13 passes, while Barnes gained 118 total yards and three touchdowns. What's more, Treadway racked up 56 rushing yards, the most he's had since back in September of 2024.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ledford will welcome East Davidson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Oak Grove, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Reagan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
