Cory-Rawson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Waynesfield-Goshen Tigers. On the bright side, the eight- run performance marked the Fighting Hornets' highest-scoring contest to date.
Mason Hall was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He struck out 11 batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off five hits.
