Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Analy

Analy proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by nine) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Santa Rosa Panthers 14-13. The victory was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Analy got a massive performance out of Sonny Quatannens, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Emerson Johnston was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-5.

Analy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

The win got Analy back to even at 6-6. As for Santa Rosa, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Looking ahead, Analy will host St. Vincent de Paul at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mustangs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.45 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Santa Rosa, they will be playing at home against Piner at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Prospectors have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
