Softball Game Preview: Mapleton Mounties vs. New London Wildcats

For the second straight game, Mapleton will face off against New London. The Mounties will host the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Mapleton barely beat New London the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mounties put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 16-1 win on Monday. That looming 16-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Mounties yet this season.

For New London's part, Madison Rowland was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Mapleton's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-4. As for New London, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-3.
