Basketball Recap: Kelliher/Northome Takes a Loss

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 78-41, which was the final score in the Kelliher/Northome Mustangs's tilt against the Fertile-Beltrami Falcons on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 303rd, while the Falcons are ranked 96th).

Kelliher/Northome has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season. Fertile-Beltrami's win was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-7.

Kelliher/Northome does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fertile-Beltrami, they will welcome Kittson Central at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Fertile-Beltrami's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
