Baseball Recap: Samuell Comes Up Short

Samuell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 16-1 to the North Mesquite Stallions. The Spartans were not able to make up for their loss to the Stallions from their previous meeting back in March of 2025.

Samuell's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for North Mesquite, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-7-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Samuell will take on Wilson at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Spartans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for North Mesquite, they will square off against Poteet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Stallions will need to watch out since the Pirates have now posted at least ten runs in their last six games.
