Basketball Recap: Xavier Perez's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lake Nona over Lake Worth

If Lake Nona was feeling good fresh off their 71-39 takedown of Lake Wales on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions fell 53-48 to the Lake Worth Trojans on Saturday.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Xavier Perez, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Rivera, who posted 13 points.

Lake Nona's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Lake Worth, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coming up, Lake Nona will challenge Lake Buena Vista at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lake Worth, they will face off against Jupiter at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
