Football Game Preview: Fairview Knights vs. Prairie View Thunderhawks + How To Watch

Fairview is a perfect 4-0 against Prairie View since September of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Knights are taking a road trip to take on the Thunderhawks at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Fairview has three straight victories, Prairie View has ten straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Fairview's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Smoky Hill, posting a 47-0 win. Considering the Knights have won four contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Ki Ellison was his usual excellent self, throwing for 291 yards and four touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes, and also punching in one TD on the ground. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in November of 2024. Sabi Ruttgers was in the mix too, providing Fairview with two scores.

Fairview's run defense was locked in: Smoky Hill could only muster 2.7 yards per carry. The Knights' ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.1.

Meanwhile, Prairie View came up short against Mountain Range on Friday, falling 28-6.

Prairie View's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Fairview, their record now sits at 4-1.

Everything came up roses for Fairview against Prairie View in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 62-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
