Volleyball Recap: Monument Valley Cougars vs. Rich Rebels
Monument Valley and Rich squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Monument Valley had to settle for second. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rich Rebels. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2017.
The final score came out to 25-21, 25-15.
Even though they lost, Monument Valley couldn't miss and finished the game having scored on 57.1% of their attack attempts. The last time their hitting percentage was this high was since the start of last season.
Monument Valley's loss dropped their record down to 16-11. As for Rich, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-17 record this season.
