Baseball Recap: Cloudland Takes a Loss

Cloudland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 24-0 to the University School Buccaneers. The match marked the first time this season in which the Highlanders were not able to get on the board.

Cloudland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for University School, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cloudland will face off against Avery County at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cloudland has given up an average of 16.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for University School, they will head out to take on Dobyns-Bennett at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
