Basketball Game Preview: South Lafourche Tarpons vs. Assumption Mustangs

The South Lafourche Tarpons will take on the Assumption Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

South Lafourche is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since December 10, 2024 on Friday. They lost 82-56 to Vandebilt Catholic.

Meanwhile, Assumption was beaten by A.J. Ellender 77-31 on Friday.

South Lafourche's loss dropped their record down to 20-10-1. As for Assumption, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-27.

South Lafourche was able to grind out a solid victory over Assumption when the teams last played back in February of 2024, winning 40-28. Will South Lafourche repeat their success, or does Assumption have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
